Christina Trotta

Lawyer

Christina Trotta has always had an interest in personal injury law. She is recognized by her clients as a passionate and effective advocate who provides an empathetic approach while providing guidance to her clients. Christina obtained her law degree from Leicester University and was called to the bar in 2015 after articling with a boutique personal injury Toronto Law firm. Prior to law school, Christina earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Guelph University, where she specialized in marketing.

Christina is a committed advocate on behalf of her injured clients primarily focusing on personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accident cases, accident benefit claims, slip/trip and fall cases, and long-term disability (LTD) claims. She has gained valuable experience working as an in-house defence counsel at a major insurance company, and will bring forward the knowledge and expertise she has learned to her injured clients. Christina is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA).

Steven Trotta

Lawyer

Steven earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Humber College before pursuing his legal studies overseas, where he obtained his LL.B. from the University of Leicester. Following his return to Canada, Steven was officially called to the Ontario Bar in June 2025.

Since then, Steven has focused his practice on providing effective and practical legal solutions tailored to the needs of his clients. He approaches every matter with professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes. His educational background and international training have provided him with a broad perspective and a versatile approach to problem-solving.

Outside of his legal work, Steven enjoys staying active. He is an avid golfer and also enjoys playing tennis and soccer in his spare time.

Senior Legal Assistant

Christina is a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in legal research and analysis. After completing her undergraduate degree at York University in the Law and Society program, she went on to earn her LL.B. at the University of Sussex. Christina is excited to be completing her Articles with Trotta Law P.C. and is thrilled to be gaining valuable hands-on experience in personal injury law.

With a keen eye for detail and passion, Christina is grateful for the opportunity to provide support to all Trotta Law clients. Outside of the office, she can be found enjoying spending time with her loveable pup or trying out new baking recipes in the kitchen. As a future lawyer, Christina is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity and is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community.

Chiara Young

Legal Assistant

As a valued legal assistant at our firm, Chiara supports our lawyers, liaises with insurance companies, and keeps case files organized and our clients informed. All with a friendly and approachable attitude. She understands how overwhelming it can be for our clients navigating a personal injury claim, so she makes it a goal to ensure they feel heard and supported throughout the entire process.

Chiara’s first foray into the legal field was as a document specialist at a Toronto Bay Street law firm specializing in real estate. From there, she moved to an insurance defence law firm. These experiences afforded her a macro view of the industry, which is an asset to what she brings to her position at Trotta Law.

Before pursuing a career in the legal field, Chiara earned her certification in Independent Music Production from Seneca Polytechnic. Outside of work, Chiara indulges her passion for music, whether at home, with family and friends, at gigs, or in the recording studio

Victor Lazzaro

Articling Student

Victor Lazzaro is an Articling Student with the firm. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Toronto Metropolitan University before earning his LL.B. from the University of Leicester. He is currently preparing to sit the Ontario Bar Examinations during the upcoming licensing cycle.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Victor gained experience in client-facing, project management, and business development roles. He brings this practical background to his legal work, emphasizing clear communication, attention to detail, and a client-focused approach. Victor has a particular interest in litigation and looks forward to continuing to develop his advocacy and dispute resolution skills.

Outside of the office, Victor’s interests include attending concerts, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Juventus FC, and spending time with family and friends.

Simona Mastromartino

Law Student

Simona Mastromartino is a final-year law student at Brunel University of London, bringing a unique scientific perspective to her work in personal injury law. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Applied Science with a minor in Business from McMaster University.

Throughout her studies, Simona has pursued opportunities in advocacy and research, receiving the Leadership Award through Brunel’s READY Programme, founding Brunel’s Canadian Law Society, and being selected to contribute to United Nations research on cultural indicators. At the firm, she applies her analytical and research skills to case preparation and medical evidence while bringing an empathetic and client-focused approach to her work.

Outside the office, Simona enjoys staying active, travelling, and spending time with friends and family. Her balanced lifestyle brings energy, adaptability, and care to the work she does and the clients she supports.

Sabrina Mainolfi

Office Manager

Sabrina graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Law and Society. Shortly after, she began her career as a legal assistant for an employment and labour law firm in Toronto. She later returned to school part-time to obtain her Law Clerk designation.

Sabrina spent 16 years with the same firm. Throughout her time there, she worked closely with clients during often stressful and uncertain periods in their lives, helping to guide them through the legal process with patience, understanding, and professionalism. These experiences strengthened her ability to listen, anticipate clients’ needs, and approach each situation with attention to detail and empathy. In 2017, due to family commitments, Sabrina made the difficult decision to transition her career into bookkeeping. While this marked a significant change in her professional path, it provided her with an opportunity to build upon her strong organizational, administrative, and financial skills while continuing to develop as a professional. Her experience in both the legal and bookkeeping fields has given Sabrina a well-rounded perspective, combining strong attention to detail with a genuine commitment to helping others.

In 2022, Sabrina joined Trotta Law. With her extensive background in legal administration and support across all aspects of law firm operations, she is a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is committed to supporting the firm and its clients. Sabrina is thrilled to be part of the Trotta Law team.

Outside the office, Sabrina enjoys expressing her creativity through scrapbooking and creating unique handmade paper crafts. She is an avid baseball fan and enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved puppy.
